Regime


A regime is the set of practices and institutions that embody the long-term goals, individual freedoms, as well as how power should be exercised[1]. Regimes often endure from one government to the next. The basic outline of a regime often exists with a founding document or constitution[1].

In their most basic forms regimes can be categorized as either authoritarian or democratic[1].
