Comments
When you leave comments on this site, through the WordPress comments form, information that you provide, as well as your IP address and browser user agent are stored to help prevent spam.
Media
When you upload media (ie. images, videos, PDFs, etc.) the files, as well as any associated metadata, are stored on the server, for any visitors to view and download. As such, you should avoid uploading sensitive information, such as embedded location data.
Cookies
When you leave a comment you can opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website URL for your convenience so you do not need to fill them in again. These cookies are set to last for at most a year.
When you visit the WordPress log-in page a temporary cookie will be set to determine if your browser accepts cookies. It will contain no personal data, and is discarded when you close your browser.
After you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Embedded Content
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Data Retention
The data you share and is collected along side comments is stored indefinitely. This is so your future comments can be recognized and approved automatically by WordPress, instead of them being held in the moderation queue.
If you choose to register for an account on this website, your profile data will be stored until you choose to edit it (except your username). You may also choose to delete and view your account details at any time. Website administrators will be able to see, edit, and delete your information as well. If you wish to delete your account and can no longer access it send me an email.
Rights Over Your Data
If you have ever created an account or comment on this website you may send me an email to request an exported file of all data we have about you or to have that information deleted. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Third-Parties
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
